    Hi Brij,

Thanks for publishing the review, I find it most interesting. I am looking for a decent laptop that would fit my style, i.e, business/everyday computing, and I noticed that amongst the ones you selected, there are no Intel i7 laptops. I like Lenovo G510 Laptop 59402507 which I find good and just a few dollars above $600. Could you please take a look and advise me/give me your opinion?

    • Hey Ballou, According to me Lenovo G510 is a good laptop as per your needs. It has got great specs inside and I think you are getting a great deal because laptop with this specifications costs about $700. If you are getting at $629 than you should buy it right now.

I was looking into the Lenovo Z510 because it seems like a good fit for me but I am not able to find it anywhere online. When I used the link to buy it on amazon it takes me to the Lenovo G50 which is not what I’m looking for. Do you know of a place/website that I can purchase it from?

We have a very small home business so we use Word/Excel etc, watch videos ( no gaming), and use for internet and updating our website. We don’t travel with it, so weight isn’t important. We have a small office space and this saves space. Looking for a long lasting laptop that with a decent battery life that runs cool. Thanks!

    • I think you should buy Dell Inspiron Laptop which is 3rd in list, it has great battery life and has 8 GB RAM so it is fast enough to save your time while working. It is not much big and it is made from material which catches less heat.

Hi Brijesh, I’m a doing my first year in computer science and had just started coding. I’m looking for a lighter weight laptop with nice performance under 600 dollars. I think I should probably get a bigger screen for programming. Could you recommend a endurable laptop please?

    • I would recommend you to go with last laptop in the list which is Acer Aspire E 15 Laptop. It has good hardware specifications so you will be able to run your designing software smoothly and it also has Full HD display.

    • Hey krystal,
I think you should go with Acer Aspire E 15 E5-573G-52G3 Laptop which is at 10th place in list. It is recently launched and has best performing hardware. I am sure that would be best for your needs.

    Thank you!

    • Hi Nina,

Hey Brijesh, I am a small business owner who frequently uploads videos in 1080. What laptop currently available do you think would be the best for under $600.

  15. Jason says:

Are the Lenovo G50 and ASUS X550 the only ones with DVD players? I am debating between these two…what are the major differences between them? Would you recommend one over the other? (All-Around use, more business, less gaming, battery life and weight are not very important, but durability is.)

    • Hey Jason,
Obviously there are many laptops with DVD players but these are best all-round performing laptops of this month. There are 2 models of Lenovo G50 so I am not sure with which model you are comparing Asus X550. If you are comparing with this one then definitely it is the one to go with right now. It has got i7 processor and 8 GB of RAM which might not be available in any other laptop under $600.

  16. Gispa says:

    Hi Brijesh,
I am looking for a laptop for video/audio editing, game development (Unreal Engine 4 specifically), programming, watching videos and gaming. Number 10 looked pretty good, but I wanted your opinion on said criteria. I am willing to part with an extra $100 or so for a better laptop if you think it is necessary. it also needs to have a quad core processor. Thanks in advance 🙂

  17. Jonas says:

HI, I’m looking for a light gaming laptop that has 6 hour plus battery, and under the weight of 6 lb. Thanks

    • Hey Jonas,
Go with Acer Aspire E5-573G-52G3 Laptop (10th in list). It has 2 GB NVIDIA graphics, 8 GB RAM, 5 hours battery backup and weighs 5.29 lbs. Yes it’s battery backup is less than you asked for but at $600 this is the best gaming laptop you can get…

  18. Leo says:

    Hi Brijesh,
I was looking at Acer Aspire E5-573G-52G3 per your recommendation but in amazon there was one that said “newer” model, Acer Aspire E 15 E5-574G-52QU and it was cheaper for $549. The processor seemed to be a newer generation but not sure why it would be cheaper. What do you think about this laptop?
    Thanks for your time,

    • Hey Leo,
Laptop manufacturers manufacture laptop at very low costs and generally they try to get up to 20-30% profit out of it. Sometimes they decrease prices of laptops to divert potential buyers to their product. I am not 100% sure about the reason but this could be the agenda behind it.
From buyers perspective that laptop is definitely more powerful than older one and you should definitely buy newer version of laptop at cheaper price.

      • Leo says:

Thanks Brijesh for your advice, I ended up getting the one you recommended originally because the new model’s shipment date was estimated out 4 to 6 weeks and found the version you recommended with a comprobable price range. Great website, thanks again!

I am looking for a reliable computer for recent college graduate. Will be doing a lot of international travel for work in next year, so don’t want to spend too much and probably prefer lighter weight. Any suggestions?

  20. Tasie says:

I’m going to buy a top of the line laptop for the fall ,when they have great deals on them but I need an affordable option right now. I will use for web browsing , uploading YouTube videos , watching movies, listening to music, some gaming (Sims 4 , Disney Infinity, and Batman Arkham Knight) , writing papers, and blogging . I really want all of those things and a great display, optical drive , Bluetooth , decent audio and ram with at least 256gb . I can deal with poor battery life. My budget is around $600.

  21. Peter D says:

Are there any laptops in the $600 price range that have good hinges? I have 2 Lenovo G570 laptops and both have hinge failure – the hinges pull out of the plastic chassis. I’m looking for a laptop for my daughter to use in college – English and Biology major. Any recommendation?
