How to Use Web Version of WhatsApp ?
For many of us it is great news that WhatsApp is finally available now on web! Yes you can now chat from your laptop using internet browser on your pc or mac. For all those curious ones, I have came up with the tutorial to show you how you can start using WhatsApp on web.
First of all I would like to tell that if you are using WhatsApp on iOS device then probably there is no room for you here as WhatsApp on web is not yet supported on iOS devices. WhatsApp has promised that they will soon get this feature on iOS too and as soon as they do it, we will update this tutorial for iOS so stay tuned iOS users to get those updates. Now If you are an Android, Windows or Blackberry user than this feature will surely work for you but the condition here is you have to update WhatsApp on your device to the latest version. If you haven’t updated yet, then first of all update the WhatsApp on your smart device. The another important thing is WhatsApp on Web supports only chrome browser, so if you are using any other browsers than install chrome browser on your pc or laptop. Once you do it, follow below given steps.
How to Use WhatsApp on Web ?
I will be using Android device for this tutorial, if you are windows or blackberry user than also you can follow the same steps. Before proceeding to the tutorial, let me first of all give you an overview of all steps which we are going to perform. First of all as I said you you have to download latest version of WhatsApp and also chrome. After that you have to scan the QR code shown on the website of WhatsApp using the inbuilt scanner in the WhatsApp app on your device. Thats it after that you will be able to use web version of WhatsApp. Not wasting more time, let us begin with the steps…
2) After doing this, Open chrome browser and go to web version of WhatsApp by clicking here. You will be able to see a QR code (as shown in image below) which you have to scan using whats app on your device.
2) Now open Whats App on your android device and go to Menu -> WhatsApp Web.
- For Blackberry : Open WhatsApp -> Chats -> Menu Key -> WhatsApp Web.
- For Windows Phone : Open WhatsApp -> Menu -> WhatsApp Web.
- For Nokia S60 : Open WhatsApp -> Menu -> WhatsApp Web.
Scan QR code and let it sync with the phone for few seconds. After that you will see all you recent chats screen on chrome browser and you will be able to chat from there.
That’s it! In this way you can easily use WhatsApp on web browser. Yes there are still few limitations in this but I think it is the early stage of WhatsApp web. There is still a long way to go and in future updates I am sure it will be fun to use WhatsApp on web just as phone.
