Remove Password From PDF Files Using Google Chrome
As title justifies you will need Google Chrome installed on your windows or mac. I know you might be having many doubts and questions like how a browser can remove password from pdf file ? Well let me explain you that in detail. As we all know Google Chrome is one of the best browsers available right now on any platform. This browser has lots of features and one of the cool feature from them is its build in PDF reader using which we can easily remove PDF password. The process is quite simple, just few clicks and key presses and you will be having your PDF file which you can access without entering password. Start following below given steps and get your work done.
1) Download and install Google Chrome on your Mac or Windows from here.
2) Once you install Chrome, open your password protected PDF file on Google Chrome. To do that right click on PDF file and go to “Open with” and select “Google Chrome” there.
Note – If you are using older version of Google Chrome than make sure you have enabled PDF viewer on Google Chrome so that chrome can handle PDF files. To enable it go to “chrome://plugins” and enable option which says “Chrome PDF Viewer”.
3) After that, it will prompt you to enter password of that PDF file. Enter the password and yes this is the last time you are entering password. I swear!
4) Now go to “File” menu of Chrome and select “Print” or you can press “Ctrl + P” on windows and if you are using Mac than press “Command + P”. It will show you setting for printing that PDF file. Choose there Destination as “Save as PDF” and hit “Save”.
Open that saved file and it will open up without asking you to enter password. In this way you can easily remove password from PDF files using Google Chrome on your Windows or Mac.
Remove Password From PDF Files using Google Drive
Another method which you can use to remove PDF files password is using Google Drive which is more over similar to above given method. As for this method also you will need Google Chrome browser and also access to Google Drive. If you don’t have Google Drive access than sign up for Google Account and you will be get your Google Drive access. If you already have Google Account than you don’t need to signup for new one. Once you are all set with above mentioned things follow below given steps.
1) Get the PDF file of which password is to be removed and open it with Google Chrome as we did in previous method.
2) Open print settings of PDF file on Google Chrome by pressing “Ctrl + P” on windows and on Mac press “Command + P” but this time you have to select destination as Google Drive.
3) After that go to – drive.google.com and open your Google Drive. Find your PDF file there and download it to your PC or laptop.
That’s it open that PDF file and it will no longer require password to open. In this way you can easily remove password from PDF file using Google Drive.

Another method is by third partly softwares and websites well there are lots of software and websites available which can unlock your PDF files for free. Of course protected PDF files will be having confidential data inside so I won’t recommend you to try these software and websites unless and until you don’t have any other choice.
