With drastic increase in usage and needs of internet, it is very necessary that you are using right browser to browse web pages. Not in terms of fast browsing and downloading speeds but also in terms of privacy and data security. Over 65% of world population is using internet on their mobile devices and from that, 80% people are Android users. This clearly states that number of android devices in the world are higher and for those android users there are lots of Web browsers available in the Google Play Store but to choose the right browser among all which stands up in all kinds of needs is really a big headache. So to reduce your work, I made a list of best web browsers for android devices after checking each of them by my self. When we buy an android device, it comes with stock Android browser and Google Chrome. No doubt Google chrome is best web browser for all types of devices today but in Android its probably not true unless you have got high specs phone. Now if we talk about Stock Android browser, than it has never been upgraded since it was launched with first android version. As I said earlier also that I have tried all the web browsers on my android device so from all the browsers the one which I liked most is UC Browser, well it does lag at some points but it performs well in almost all aspects of mobile browsing. Now let us talk on different android web browsers, you can install the one which fits your needs.
Best Web Browsers For Android
I have listed below few of the best web browser apps on Android device in no order. You can go through features of all web browsers and download the one which you think is good for you.
1) Google Chrome –
Chrome comes pre-installed in most of the Android device today and after recent update it has become the browser with best design and user experience in my point of view. Material design in new chrome looks great but the only problem with this browser is, it utilizes RAM most in among all the browsers and this what makes it lag when we open more than one web pages. It has got ability to sync all your bookmarks so if you are using Chrome on your pc or mac than your bookmarks will come to both your devices seamlessly and even it supports syncing passwords and provides auto fill options so even if you switch to your phone from your laptop, you don’t have to compromise with any thing which you get in chrome on your laptop.
Using chrome is very easy, you can just swipe in left or right to close the unwanted tabs and swipe from bottom to up to open new tab. As far as privacy is concerned chrome does give you full protection for your browsing history to saved passwords. It has got incognito mode, which you can turn on and browser won’t save any data to history and keep that session private. You do get Do Not Track option too, it prevents you from third party services and hackers so that they cannot peep into your browsed web pages. These were all pros of Google Chrome on Android but one of the major drawback of this browser is, it do not support Flash videos so the websites using flash will not open properly. Other thing which Chrome lovers might not like is, It runs on Android versions 4.0+ so if you are using older versions of Android than Chrome is not for you.
Apart from all the things we can say that Chrome is best browser for Android device, well it changes from device to device if you have got phone with good specifications, than chrome will never allow you to complaint about anything but for low specifications phone, chrome has still long way to go.

2) Mozilla Firefox –
Firefox gives tough competition to the Chrome on mobile devices. Similar to chrome it also has ability to sync all your history, bookmarks, passwords and add ons with your laptop. If you often switch to your phone from your desktop then it can also sync currently open tabs on different devices to continue from wherever you stopped earlier and this is really great.
Firefox does provide support of Flash content and it has got tonnes of mobile Add Ons and extensions to simplify your web browsing and other work on internet right from your android device. This is really great if you want to customize your browser in your own way, you don’t like advertisements on the web pages ? simply turn them off by installing add ons. Like chrome, you do get private tabs here too and also Do Not Track which is kept off by default, to turn it on you can do it from settings.
Firefox also has Safari like reader mode, which you can activate by tapping on little book icon in URL area. It turns your web page in simple text and makes it easy to read and save for you. One of the best thing which I loved in this browser is, it has Guest Browsing Mode using which you can give your phone to your friend so that they can browse internet without knowing anything about your bookmarks and history. Overall firefox is a great browser and it works well with all kinds of Android devices so if you are planning to switch from Chrome than Firefox would be the right choice.
Download Firefox on Android
3) Opera –
Opera has always been a best browser for mobile devices and on Android also it has proved the same thing. They have got two different browsers for high end and low end devices, if your phone is not capable to run Opera than you can download and install Opera mini. Of-course it would be having few drawbacks but it can properly open up web pages and you can work with it. Well if we look at the features provided than it has got Speed Dial, which is clean bookmarking system provided in Opera browser. It lets you save your bookmarks and makes it visible to you whenever you open the browser. So you know what’s important to you and what’s not. You can add delete and even make folders in bookmarking system, which is easy to use and much more similar to iOS homescreen.
Other thing which I loved in Opera is you don’t have to go and find on web for news, just tap on the Discover button and it will show you all the latest trends all around the world. It looks similar to any news paper app which is fitted into browser. Other thing which is worth mentioning is, it has got “Off-road” mode which proved it self very useful whenever you are connected to low speed internet connections. It is the similar technology which comes into the Opera mini version of browser for Android.
Apart from all this features, it does have ability to sync your bookmarks, history and passwords if you use Opera on your laptop. Overall opera is a good web browser which can let you browse the internet even if you don’t have capable internet connection which is really great.

4) UC Browser –
A powerful light weight browser from chinese developers which is the most downloaded browser in the world (across all platforms), yes I’m talking about UC browser you might be hearing this name for first time but this browser is worth mentioning in the list of best web browsers for android. Looking at its features it has got all the same things which other browsers give too but the thing which makes this browser stand out is, it’s smooth interface. It has intelligent ability to load the page by checking speed of internet connection which helps a lot when your android phone is connected to slow internet connection.
Home screen of UC Browser is quite impressive as it shows up automatically different websites for different categories such as news or for downloading music, videos etc. This is quite good but I didn’t find any way to edit those websites or change it to my favorite ones. Another thing which I loved about UC browser for android is, It comes with file and download manager both. It can download multiple files at once and it has ability to continue download if internet connection is interrupted. Thats really amazing. You can install your favorite add-ons and extensions to personalize it in your own way. The main reason behind why it is so popular web browser for android is, its feature called “Speed mode”. You can turn it on and let your browser decide the best version of website to load by taking your device size and internet speed in consideration.
According to me among all browsers for Android, UC browser has worked best for me and if you are download freak like me than this browser has got best download and file manager on mobile device ever.

It also has incognito mode similar to chrome and you also get support to install extensions as per your needs. It is highly customizable and we can tell it as one of the best android web browser.
