How To Get Mac Like Scrolling in Windows ?

Have you ever seen scrolling in Mac book? I don’t know about you but I love it. It will be complete madness if I will buy new Macbook just because I love scroll of it, so I made few changes to my windows laptop which now gives me same feel as I am scrolling on macbook. If you too want to have macbook scroll feel on your windows laptop than here I have got few tactics which will give you feel like MacBook in your Windows laptop.

You might have seen or heard about scrolling in Macbook. It is reverse in direction, Well as windows user we never get hands on this so let me explain what actually reverse scrolling is? If you will put your two finger on touch pad of laptop and drag it upwards, your page will be scrolled in downward direction just as in android phones. That sounds easy isn’t it? Another thing which I love about scroll in MacBook is its smoothness, It feels buttery when you are scrolling fast through long webpages. As an internet addict I will love if my laptop scroll is also as smooth as macbook. Few days back I started researching about this on internet and I have found out few ways by which you can have neat scrolling experience as macbook on your windows laptop.

Mac Like Two Finger Reverse Scrolling on Windows –

Most of the new laptops comes with this reverse scrolling feature, but the problem is we don’t know where that settings exist. I have Dell laptop and before two days I came to know that my laptop’s touchpad supports reverse scrolling. If you too have got Dell laptop than you must also try to play a bit with mouse settings. Now what about laptop of other brands? Well after diving into my laptop drivers, I came to know that touchpad hardware of my laptop was manufacture by Synaptics. If your windows laptop touchpad is  also manufactured by synaptics than your touchpad supports reverse scrolling like macbook.

How to Check Hardware Manufacture of Touchpad ?

• Open control panel.
• Find mouse settings and open it.
• Go to hardware tab in mouse properties and you will see hardware manufacture name of your touchpad.

In above image, you can see manufacturer name of my touchpad. You can check your touchpad manufacturer in same manner. I have also seen few Lenovo laptops which has Ultra Nav as a manufacturer of touchpad. I would like to tell Lenovo users that Ultra Nav is of Synaptics but they use Ultra Nav as manufacturer name in Lenovo laptops so you can also get mac like two fingers reverse scrolling on your windows laptop.

Now after knowing that your touchpad is supported to give you mac like scroll, You have to search settings to enable this feature on your laptop. If I talk about my laptop than I found it in Dell Touchpad Properties, you can search for similar options on your laptop. It may be specified as Two Finger Gesture or Reverse Scroll, as soon as you find these type of options enable it and enjoy mac like scroll on windows.

I got mac like scrolling in my windows by opening dell touchpad properties from system tray. In Gestures settings, I enabled Panning/Scrolling feature under Two finger Gestures. This enabled two finger reverse scroll on my laptop. You can also try to find similar options and enable it on your windows laptop. Now I can enjoy smooth buttery scroll on my windows laptop, of-course it will not meet all features of macbook touchpad but it can give you little bit feel of macbook while scrolling. In this way you can get mac like scrolling in windows laptop.

Get Mac Like Bouncy Scrolling in Chrome on Windows –
