Google is going to launch its Android TV in developers conference at San Francisco. After lauching Google TV in 2012, this new thinking from Google seems much more smarter and user-friendly to users.
As per report, Google is going to launch Android TV at its 7th annual I/O developer’s conference which is going to help in San Francisco on 25-26th of this month.
This information comes from the Google’s man who spokes on twitter about new plans of Google.
Android TV :
Android TV will be much more similar to Google TV which was launched in the year 2012 at annual developer conference. The main difference between both is Google TV was focusing on current pay TV services with apps, while Android TV will have online media services and Android based video games. Currently google is busy in collaborating with several media services to participate in Android TV. Well-known video streaming services like Hulu Plus and Netflix are expected to be available on Android TV in its initial times. Also, Google will announce a few devices which will be running Android TV which may release in upcoming months.
Now there is no such information about manufacturing partners but Samsung, Sony and Vizio are the names which are expected as top contenders. Chinese company Haier is also heard to be in a same queue.
Google’s Android TV with PANO User Interface
Android TV will have new user interface which is called as Pano by google. All apps will be displayed as individual pieces in a tile-like style. By using which users will easily browser TV shows, Movies etc on Home Screen when android TV is turned on. All shows and movies will be shown in different tile which will be in one horizontal row and each would be having links to publisher’s apps. It will also offer option to user of starting playback of TV Shows or movies when they want.
It will be using Android version 4.4.3 with additional features to handle TV Pano user interface. It will be different from traditional smart TV’s as in this new one users can see directly apps catalogue together from all well-known publishers.
This smart thinking from Google seems to make changes in television world further details will be told at conference on 25th and 26th ( this month )of June, 2014.
