It does happen that you have to search through various sites on google to know the time at different places across the world. Well that’s time consuming, so to takeover this problem google recently added time zone converter to the search results. Excited about it? Lets talk on how to use it.
Google is so intelligent that you don’t have to remember any specific syntax or anything to know time at different places. All you have to do is type a simple question like – “if it is 2am in new york what time is it in london” and google shows you the accurate time as per your request. That’s really delightful. Below are few other examples which you can try in google to see time at different places of different timezones.
Examples to Try Google Time Zone Converter
- convert 5 pm greenwich mean time to eastern time
- if it is 2am in new york what time is it in london
- 6:30pm delhi in new york
- convert 4 pm pdt to est
- 10 am Central in IST
You can also search the time for different cities by searching like “new york time” and you can also search by typing different time zones to know the data and time of that time zone. This will work on all browsers on desktop and also in many search apps on mobile devices.
Google is definitely late to add this feature as search engines like Duckduckgo and Wolfram Alpha has this feature since years but that’s fine its better to be late than never. The other thing which I would like to talk about is, the websites like timeanddate.com and theworldtimeserver.com will not be happy after hearing about this feature because no one would like to click on the search results if google itself can answer those questions.
