If you have recently switched from Android to iPhone then probably you would be missing battery percentage feature on your iPhone. Its quite confusing to see how much battery is remaining on iPhone just by seeing the battery icon and the main problem arises when one cannot determine that how much his/her phone would run when battery will be low. Well if you are the one who is facing the same kind of problems and looking on how to show battery percentage on iPhone than in this article I have explained all about it in detail.
If you don’t know then there is the same problem with iPad too, but iPad batteries are more bigger so you can squeeze more juice out of it even if the battery is low. The problem is with iPhone batteries, because they drain more quickly than iPad batteries. Even when iPhone shows battery low warning, we are not able to decide for how much time it will still run! There are lots of problem which we face due to this and there is only one solution to it, showing battery percentage.
To do that you have to just enable it in the iPhone settings, yes it comes as an inbuilt feature on iPhone just as Android but Apple keeps it off by default. Lets begin now with the steps to enable battery percentage feature on iPhone.
Steps to – Show Battery Percentage on iPhone & iPad
Some people might think it as a piece of cake but there are many iOS beginners who don’t know about this feature so for all those people I am explaining that this feature comes inbuilt from the beginning version of iOS, so it doesn’t matter if you are running earlier version of iOS. Even procedure is same for all the iOS devices (iPod, iPhone, iPad), so just follow below given steps properly and you will be able to see the battery percentage in side of battery icon on your device.
1) Open Settings App.
2) Head over to “General” in settings app.
3) Tap on “Usage” in it and under Battery Settings, turn on Battery Percentage.
That’s it, it would show you battery percentage as shown in image below and now onwards you will be able to determine how much percentage of battery is still remaining on your iPhone! As I said earlier also this works on all iOS devices so whether you are using iPod or iPad, you can follow the same above given steps. I used iPhone 4s running iOS version 8.1.3, you can follow this steps even if you are using earlier versions of iOS as this feature comes in previous versions too.
There won’t be any problem with new iPhones and iPads but if you own older ones than this feature is really useful to determine actual battery remaining of your iOS device. I hope it helps you to show battery percentage on iPhone and iPad. Tell me in comments if you have any questions or problems on this, I will get back to you as soon as possible.
